Dr. Madiha Yazdani It's the difference essentially between getting through a procedure and waking up at the end of the surgery and thinking, "Oh my gosh. It's already over." I'm Dr. Madiha Yazdani. I'm a board-certified anesthesiologist. I'm certified by the American Board of Anesthesia. I've known Dr. Faraj for about 3 years now. We've worked at various dental practices, and started working here at Eleve Dental for the last 6–9 months. I usually take care of patients in the hospital, in the ICU. But when I started working with dentists, I realized that patients are very afraid of coming into the dentist. I am there to take away their pain, anxiety, fear, and make the procedure as smooth and seamless as possible. Here at Eleve Dental, we offer multiple different types of anesthesia, including general anesthesia, which is not offered at most places. IV sedation means that I will actually be in there starting an intravenous line into the patient. That line allows me to give medications throughout the entire surgery and procedure to get rid of pain, anxiety, any nervousness that the patient might have. There's no one-size-fits-all. Everything is catered personally to the patient, and that's how we're able to provide a concierge-level anesthesia service to our patients at Eleve. There's no one-size-fits-all protocol. I'm in here the whole time with the patient, ensuring their safety. I'm bringing a hospital-level grade of anesthesia to a dental office where patients are very familiar with it. In addition, I can monitor their vitals. I will be there the entirety of the procedure. In terms of each individual patient, I cater their sedation needs to their prior experiences, their level of anxiety, their past medical history. It's very common to feel anxiety. I've known Dr. Faraj for about 3 years now. I've worked with surgeons across a multitude of specialties, including dentists. I think he's at the top, best of the best. He's very calm, very gentle-handed with patients as well, and his patients just end up doing so well. One of the things that really impressed me about him is that I feel like he creates a very artistic smile at the end of every surgery. The biggest benefit of having an anesthesiologist like me, in addition to the surgeon like Dr. Faraj, is that we have two separate jobs. He can just focus primarily on actually doing the surgery while I'm there to ensure the safety of the patient. That makes things go a lot faster, safer for the patient. That is something very unique that we offer here.
