ALL ON 4

The All-on-4 Process in Lubbock, Led by One Prosthodontist

There are significant benefits of choosing to undergo All-on-4 treatment by a board-certified prosthodontist leading the entire process.

The All-on-4® treatment method is a procedure that can support a full arch of teeth on just four implants, often without the need for bone grafting. It is widely available, but the experience, including the way treatment is planned and delivered, can look very different depending on who provides your care.

Many All-on-4 providers divide treatment among multiple specialists, sending patients to different locations to meet with prosthodontists, surgeons, and general dentists. As a prosthodontist, my approach is different: I personally plan the case, place the implants, and oversee the restoration from start to finish. I begin with the finished smile and work backward. Before the first implant is placed, I’m already considering tooth position, bite forces, facial support, speech, hygiene access, and the long-term maintenance of the restoration.

Here's how I deliver a seamless All-on-4 process in Lubbock, along with a look at the advantages of choosing a prosthodontist who can lead every step of your care.

From Consultation to Final Restoration

A Look at My Approach

When I treat an All-on-4 patient, I'm the one who sits down with them during the consultation, evaluates their bone structure and bite using CBCT and digital scanning, places the implants in surgery, and designs and delivers the final restoration. Every clinical stage of treatment, from consultation through surgery and restorative care, takes place within one practice. The only part of the process that is handled outside my Lubbock office is the fabrication of the final denture, and we only use trusted labs in Texas and Dubai that implement my design to my exact specifications.

From the start, I'm thinking about how your new teeth need to look, the balanced bite they need to provide, and the function they should afford when you're eating or speaking years from now. I'm placing each implant with the final prosthesis already in mind, rather than relying on coordination between multiple providers later in treatment.

With a single plan in place, I don't have to wait on another office's schedule, re-explain your case to someone new, or reconcile two different treatment philosophies. I can simply do what needs to be done and get you to your final result with minimal delays.

The Challenges of Fragmented Care

Why We Keep Your Care Linear

Let me be clear: a collaborative approach between offices isn't a guaranteed recipe for disaster, but it can introduce challenges that a process led by a single doctor can dramatically reduce or eliminate. Some examples of those challenges include:

Poor Communication

When surgical planning and restorative planning happen in different offices, a team has to coordinate every decision. Even with excellent communication, that introduces opportunities for compromise that are often reduced when one prosthodontist oversees the entire case.

Inconsistent Standards

Even when every provider does competent work, the final result is only as good as the weakest link in that chain. Well-placed implants paired with a restoration that reflects a different philosophy or treatment priority can still produce an outcome that isn’t ideal.

Hassle for the Patient

When your care is split between providers, you're the one who ultimately has to show up to these different spaces. I don't want you to have to drive between a surgical office, restorative office, and sometimes a separate imaging center. Because my consultations, surgical planning, implant placement, and restorative follow-up all happen within one practice, there are fewer scheduling bottlenecks.

Longer Timelines

Coordinating schedules across multiple offices almost always means more delays and more appointments than working with a single provider who controls the entire process and performs all clinical steps in one location.

Credentials That Matter

What My Prosthodontic Experience Means for You

Dr. Mohaad Faraj — Prosthodontist, Eleve Dental Lubbock

I'm a prosthodontist, meaning a dentist who completes three years of additional training after dental school focused on fixing and replacing damaged and missing teeth. Prosthodontists place dental implants and create crowns, bridges, dentures, and veneers that are made to look natural, harmonize within a patient's bite, and last for the long term.

Here's what that training looks like in my case:

  • Three-year prosthodontics residency at UConn, focused specifically on full-arch restoration, bite mechanics, implant placement, and smile design
  • Dual degrees: DMD and Master of Dental Sciences
  • Fellowship status with the American College of Prosthodontists
  • The only board-certified prosthodontist in the Lubbock area
  • Nationwide educator in advanced implant techniques, teaching dentists and prosthodontists across the country

When I sit down with a patient, I draw on thousands of cases, specialized training, and years of teaching other providers. That's the level of experience behind every treatment plan I build for my Lubbock patients. Because All-on-4 is a potentially life-changing treatment that can enhance your health, happiness, and quality of life, I recommend that patients approach it like they would any significant decision in their lives: find a few reputable providers and have a conversation with all of them. Get to know their approach, and find out exactly who will be handling every stage of your treatment, including imaging, implant placement, and prosthesis design. I would love the opportunity to sit down with you and explain how my approach can help you overcome the challenges of compromised oral health and begin living a fuller life. Regardless of who you audition as your All-on-4 provider, just remember that education is your best bet for ensuring the success of your own treatment.
